This past Sunday people marched Sydney CBD by the thousands in support of Gaza and Lebanon.
This protest comes shortly after Israeli strikes in Lebanon took the lives of Hassan Nasrallah, and much of Hezbollah’s senior leadership. Photos of Nasrallah were carried by many throughout the march. The aftermath of these strikes amounted to the death and displacement of thousands of civilians.
The energy was palpable, but juxtaposed. A somber, almost funeral precession-like march came out of some, while an explosive display of strength and resilience out of others, all connected by binding threads of love and loss.
